Some other

It was the first time when it got me thinking how to call my new post. I keep telling about things I have done before but did not have time to post so I have to collect some things together and sometimes they absolutely have no common subject. But anyway...

I participated in one craft fair so it kept me all occupied. I made some tags for the items I was selling. So here they are. Different size and design.

My new jeans creations. Of course I could not resist but use this opportunity for one of my favourite fabrics ever. Made for the fair as well.I showed this embroidery before. I could not make up my mind what it should be. I happen to find a very interesting fabric in one of the stores so it determined my choice as a pillow case. I was very satisfied with the result.
The backside of it. Just love the patterns.
A little boy will own this pillow now. Hope he will like those mice as much as I like them :) Sweetest dreams!

Back again

Oh and oh! I haven't been here for a long time. Did not have time to blog but have new creations to share. Some presents for my friends. That diary I showed before. Now it has some little personalized corrections :)

A closer view. This time I coloured canvas with tea and used multicolour thread to cross stitch.
A gift box.
I used fabrics for insides as well as outsides.
Cross stitching again. You know I love it :)
Fabrics on the cover as well. Keep your secrets here, my dear! :)
I still have soooo much to reveal. Hopefully very soon. Stay tuned!

Test sample

Anyone who has a need to work with a computer all day long, know how one's wrist can be sore. I know that too. That is why this kitty-cat was born :) Usually the first sample I make for my own self to try it for a few days and see if it is comfortable or not, what needs to be redone or made in another way. The first toy can be clumsy but even though I like them all, all my clumsies. Ah and jeans of course. You know :)

This kitty doesn't eat mice. No worries, they like each other :)
That is how I use it. As a pad for my wrist. Feels quite comfortable so far.
And if I feel angry at times, which happens if some programs don't want to work my way, this kitty can be a very good anti stress helper. It is not afraid of being squeezed :) And looking at this cutie makes me feel better.

News

There are so many projects I have on the run now. Some are finished, some are half done, some are in plans. It feels I am running out of time sometimes :) So what I have finished is a new pad. Was too tired of Xmas topic, so Halloween just for a change.
Another side. You choose which one is a front side. I adore this little kitty :)
Some mint inside for a nice smell.
This is my new half done-y. Cross-stitching part is finished, sewing part is awaiting. 5-6-7 evenings of embroidery. Who counts anyway? :))
I also have presents I need to do for some of my friends and this is a secret yet :)
Some secrets will be revealed soon. Stay tuned!

Colors, experimenting

I continued experimenting with coloring fabrics for my future projects. For my embroidery projects I usually take white or beige canvas. Just to show you the difference. White is above.
To color it this time I used tea and coffee. Wanted to see if there is any difference. There is a very slight difference but in each case it gives an absolutely new shade. So... I used white as a background to highlight the contrast. Beige is over it. In this case I colored beige with
1. coffee, 2. tea
This is white canvas colored.
1. coffee, 2. tea
And altogether.
1. beige canvas colored with coffee
2. beige (tea)
3. white (coffee)
4. white (tea)
I can tell that it is possible to use both of them depending on the project, BUT... I liked the tea shade on beige much better. It is softer and not as yellowish as a coffee shade. Maybe next time I need to try coffee with milk :) So that is the variant I chose for my new piece. Which one? You will see soon. Have a good coffee! Or tea :)

Lavender dreams

Being still in a run of making small cuties. Can't help it, just adore them :) I find it an interesting game to play with colors, sizes, forms and scents. I have already made a few pieces with Xmas scent of cloves and cinnamon. This time it is lavender.

I used multicolor thread. Again :)

Wanted to say the backside but actually they are very similar with the only difference. You'll easily find it if you are attentive enough.
I always think how things I make can be used. Except of the fact it is a nice decoration, it can be a pin keep...
... or a lavender sachet for your clothes. I am sure it is possible to find a lot more other ways of using this cute, little, soft pillow.
This is something I have a dilemma with. I have been working with this piece for a few months, on and off. Just wanted to make something big and found this cute pattern. Now when it is about to be finished I am in two minds either to put it in a frame or to make a pillow. Help required :)

Colors, more colors, multicolors

So that is what I needed red wine for. It is good to use if you want to make an effect of an old, vintage thing. I just washed my canvas in wine and then rinsed in a cold water. The picture slightly shows the difference but in reality it got a nice soft color. I like it.

Here is a close up. I would also like to try to color canvas with coffee. Next time :)
I bought some multicolor threads for my new projects. One color shade goes into another one in an interesting way.
Some of the items you have already seen.
I started a new one. You will learn what it is going to be. Soon :)
